On this occasion, the series by the brothers Laura and Alberto Caballero has opened a casting of extras to record scenes on April 20th, 24th and 25th in different locations on the island.

Hello to all lovers of cinema and television in Ibiza! Today we want to share with you some exciting news for our industry: the successful Netflix series “Machos Alfa” chooses our island again to film some scenes from its second season. From Ibiza Film Commission we are delighted to welcome this production back to the island!

Machos Alfa is a television series written and created by brothers Laura and Alberto Caballero that tells the story of a group of four friends, Pedro, Luis, Raúl and Santi, who feel lost in the new era of female empowerment and who struggle for adapting, each in his own —and chaotic— way to their own “crisis of masculinity”.

Netflix announced on March 8th that shootings have already begun for the second season of this Contubernio Films production. In the first season they filmed a chapter on various locations in Ibiza, where you could see Cova Santa, Port des Torrent or the port of Ibiza.

Now they return to the island to shoot new scenes for their second season and, in addition, on this occasion, the series has opened a casting of extras in Ibiza to record scenes on April 20th, 24th and 25th in different locations of the island.

The production company has already announced that this second season will have 10 episodes and will be filmed between Madrid, Malaga and Ibiza over the next 4 months.

The Ibiza Film Commission has worked closely with the production company of the series to ensure that the filming is a success. This shooting is a great new opportunity for local residents and professionals to participate in a national television production.
