Robert de Niro inaugurated his own hotel in Ibiza.

It is difficult to define in a word what is what so much attracts the tourists to Ibiza. The best thing is that the Ibizan tourism is that it is completely varied and has offers for all the travelers’ profiles. To part of attracting families that enjoy its holidays, the young people who enjoy the best offer of nightclubs or those that have cultural interests in the island, there is this group of celebrities who come to the islands to enjoy the tireless sun, the clean waters and the happy and active lifestyle. Although they not all come to take photos of themselves in the best clubs, nor to hold its ships up in the port, some of them come to carry on business.

Opposite to the Talamanca bay hides a silent paradise, a corner that moves away from the boisterous and rapid rhythm of the neuralgic center from the island. This complex wants to move away from the out loud music and the neon lights, and find peace with the waves rhythm. In a brilliant alliance, actor Robert de Niro and the Japanese chef Nobu Matsushisahan, have covered this demand opening Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay.

A place where the time seems to be stopped

A delicate style in turquoises tones, whites and golds inspired in the ibizan sunsets, soak the 152 rooms and the common areas of this quiet resort. It is provided with two swimming pools that end practically in the beach, with access from the hotel. In addition to the accommodation area, the complex is provided with the first Six Senses Spa, a yoga pavilion, beauty saloons and a kid club. The chef Nobu wanted to put his identity stamp with an spectacular food proposal split into four restaurants that admit reservations of clients not stayed at the hotel.
Apart from the bar in the the swimming pool area, there is a Mediterranean restaurant called Chambao; Peyotito, a Mexican-food restaurant and Nobu, the restaurant of the proper Chef.
It’s surprising proving that the strange tie between a Hollywood actor and a Japanese chef, is giving very good results. They both met when Nobu opened a restaurant in Beverly Hills drawing the attention on personalities as De Niro that in a few months offered the Chef to collaborate. Curiously from this business tie it came a cinematographic anecdote. Nobu plays a role as businessman in the movie “Casino” of 1995, directed by Martin Scorsese and with De Niro as protagonist.
