The young Ibizan Sara Rico, although she is a lawyer by profession, she has thrown caution to the wind by scriptwriting, producing and directing her first short film: “The Two Faces of Solitude”

The Ibiza Film Commission participated to help her obtain the necessary licenses to be able to shoot on the beach and, in addition, to advise the production.

Last Sunday, April 30th, the first short film by the young Ibizan Sara Rico was presented to a full room at the Cervantes Cultural Center in San Antonio (Ibiza). Although she is a lawyer by profession, she has has thrown caution to the winde to achieve a dream: to express herself through the screen.

The two faces of loneliness comes to tell us about the “not beautiful”, that other darker part of life where feelings of sadness, loneliness, depression, insecurity, are there. Although our life seems complete, these feelings sometimes end up flourishing in us and, for this reason, the director wanted to “give visibility to the importance of taking care of our mental health” with this work (Sara Rico, Diario de Ibiza, 04/27/23).

The Ibiza Film Commission participated to help her obtain the necessary licenses to be able to shoot at the beach, and also to advise the production.

As for the event, the attendees, after enjoying a private screening of the short film, participated in a subsequent discussion with the team and, in addition, enjoyed a live concert by Dario Igea, the artist who lent his single “Junto al mar” for the soundtrack of the short film.

Here are some images of the presentation and the short film:
